Background: |
Following on from the Tracking Industrial Energy Efficiency and CO2 Emissions: The Way Forward workshop held in Paris on 1-2 October 2008 this meeting aims to finalise industry input into the G8 Hokkaido Summit, which was requested at the 2005 G8 Summit in Gleneagles. The two main objectives of this workshop are: 1) to discuss our industry scenario analysis for ETP 2008 and 2) to review the updates of the IEA work on industrial energy efficiency and CO2 emissions. The meeting also aims to identify recommendations for promoting international technology transfer and measures to further engage Chinese industry. |
