| Objectives |
This training event will feature 2 parallel courses:
The training will provide participants with the latest analysis and trends in energy efficiency and low-carbon energy policy and planning. Leading experts from the IEA and other institutions will present recent developments from the LAC region and around the world. Participants will become familiar with a range of recognised methodologies and tools for analysis and policy-formulation at the national level for the medium to long-term. |
| Attendance |
By invitation: official invitations have been sent to each national ministry responsible for energy – to nominate 2 internal candidates (one for each course) to attend the training. Please enquire internally about receiving a nomination. By open registration: a limited number of places are available for open registration. Energy professionals from both the public and private sectors are eligible to apply. If requests exceed the available places, a selection procedure will apply. A good level of English and/or Spanish language is required in order to benefit from the course. To register, please complete the Registration form – English version / versión en español and send it back by e-mail to training.programme@iea.org together with a curriculum vitae (CV) / resume. The deadline for both official nominations and open registration is 10th August 2012. |
| Fees, costs and financial assistance |
Attending the training sessions is FREE of charge. Funding is available for 2 official government nominees from each country member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) (round trip economy flight, accommodation and per diem). Participants from non-IDB member countries and those using the open registration option must cover their own travel and accommodation costs. |
