Improved Fossil Plant Efficiency
Clean Fossil energy is vital but must overcome its environmental difficulties. "Clean fossil fuel systems" have significantly reduced pollution. However, apart from improving energy efficiency, they have not addressed the problem of CO2 emissions. To address this problem, a number of promising technologies have been developed but have not yet been deployed. With these technologies, fossil fuel plants can achieve near zero or zero emissions of regulated pollutants and CO2. They are all based on the strategy of separation, transportation and sequestration of CO2.
