Getting to the OECD

Registration

Journalists are invited to register for the IEA Ministerial Meeting by following the below link.

Badges can be picked up from the registration desk starting from 10:00 20:00 on 14 October, and from 9:00 13:30 on 15 October.

A valid press card will be required on arrival at the venue, OECD, 2 André Pascal, 75016 Paris. Be aware that security checks will be required.

Special note to photographers/TV camera crews:
 
An opportunity to photograph/ film the beginning of the opening Ministerial session will now take place on the morning of Wednesday, 14 October, as indicated below:

  • 8:15 AM    Registration opens for press photographers/camera crews only

Photographers and crews should be assembled in the press room (room 4) by 8:45 am at the latest to be escorted to camera/photo opportunities.

Note that this photography/ filming opportunity will only last a few minutes.  As soon as the session starts, all press members will be escorted back to the press room. Please inform the IEA Press Office if you would like to participate: ieapressoffice@iea.org.

Press Room

The press room will be located in room 4 in the Conference Centre of the OECD and will be open from 10:00 – 20:45 on 14 October and from 9:00 - 14h:30 on 15 October.

Press conferences and briefings

  • Keynote Speeches can be followed by the media in the press room (see the official Ministerial programme which will shortly be available).

  • Press briefings will normally take place in the press room right after the sessions unless otherwise scheduled.

  • National media briefings may be organised. Details will be posted in the press room as soon as they are confirmed.

Media Facilities

Press Room
Journalists will have access at all times to the press room (room 4) in the OECD Conference Centre. Relevant documents will be available there as well as facilities to plug in laptops. Computers will not be provided!

WiFi Internet Access
Wifi Internet access is available throughout the OECD Conference Centre. The WiFi network name (SSID) is HotSpotOECD. To access the Internet, first open your browser and click on “CONNECT” whereby you agree to the OECD HotSpot terms of use (displayed following CONNECT). A more detailed description is available in the press room.

Broadcast
The OECD TV, radio and videoconference studios will be available to all broadcast journalists on a first come, first served basis. To book these facilities, contact the IEA Press Office IEAPressOffice@iea.org.
